Philosophy Statement
At SUWS Youth, we know that many struggling students are inherently good, and have the ability to be successful -- but because of unhealthy misperceptions about themselves, they have limited access to their own abilities and strengths.
Our goal is to create reference points that each child may tap into later for positive self-reinforcement. Our dedicated staff members and innovative daily curriculum give students the tools they will need to chart a course for future growth and success.
Our treatment professionals excel at addressing the underlying cause of negative, unhealthy behaviors and working through impasses brought about by internal struggles, rather than confronting outward behaviors only.
At SUWS Youth we believe that successful treatment is best accomplished through small groups and individual attention. With a student-to-staff ratio of 2½ to 1, we ensure that students receive the personal attention and care they need to guarantee that they have a positive, self-affirming experience.
We are also committed to encouraging effective family involvement to ensure that each child continues to learn and grow long after his or her SUWS Youth experience.
Finally, as a proud member of CRC Health Group, we embrace CRC’s five core values:
- Respect – for our patients, our employees, and our community
- Integrity – in our dealings with all those whose lives we touch
- Accountability – to our patients and their families, and to our colleagues
- Responsibility – for the decisions we make and the actions we take
- Excellence – in every task we perform
